The initial intention of this project was to re-design or give another value to an object that had become obsolete. I decided to redesign a wheelchair that had been in my friend's house for over two years without being used.

With a minimalist design, this coffee table, which also works as a lazy Susan, creates a sense of community by inviting people to interact playfully. While still keeping its primary function of a coffee table.

The table structure is entirely constructed with cut and deconstructed pieces from the same wheelchair. The acrylic circular that makes the table top is the only extra material that does not come from the same wheelchair. This is one of the many things that makes this table so special and unique.
